The population of Saurimo, Lunda Sul Province, has almost doubled to 200.000 as people flee the civil unrest and former Angolan refugees return from Congo.
A few hundred displaced families live in this unifinished appartment block which has no facilities.

Aide Maria Albino Pires, aged 13, lost track of her parents 5 years ago in Huambo. She now lives at "The 11th November School" on the outskirs of Luanda with 250 other children.
