Nicaragua – All Saints Day

All Saints Day falls on November 1, followed by All Souls' Day on November 2. The days are spent visiting the graves of deceased relatives, where prayers and flowers are offered, candles are lit and the graves are cleaned, repaired and repainted. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.
